News

Welcome once again to the 2004 hockey season. Here is some information for the next few months:

WELCOME TO NORTHS BBQ

There will be a “Welcome to Norths” BBQ at the start of the season. This will be co hosted with the Junior Girls, Senior Men and Women’s clubs and will be held at the clubhouse. The date will be around the 7th April but this will be confirmed as the time draws closer.

TRAINING

Training for all teams will be at Dorrington Park for ALL teams for the next fortnight from 6 to 7 pm. The Under 15 and 17’s will commence training at Burringbah on the artificial turf on a date to be confirmed. You will be advised shortly.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES

You are reminded that all new players to the club must supply a copy of the player’s birth certificate ASAP as these have to be forwarded to BJHA along with the registration forms.

LEVIES

A turf levy for all teams that play and train on artificial turf (Colmslie and Kedron Wavell/ Burringbah) will be imposed this year. The cost of the levy will be finalised and the players in the teams that play on this surface will be required to pay this levy by the commencement of the games.

Working Bee/ BBQ levy – To be eligible for the refund a member of each family must attend one working bee or one BBQ roster. You will need to sign the roster book to ensure that the treasurer can record the completion of your duties in our records and return the levy to each family. The next working bee is this Saturday 21 Feb for completion of the sanding of the fields. The next working bee is the following Sat 28 Feb completing the turf resurfacing. Please bring along gardening utensils and shovels and if you have a trailer please bring it along as well.

Norths Website – The website for the club is www.gjames.com.au/norths. Add it to your favourites. The newsletters will be posted on the site each week. Also the club is celebrating it’s 30th year and there is a lot of history and information contained in the site. Feel free to browse. There are also shortcuts to other hockey sites as well as wet weather details etc.Welcome once again to the 2004 hockey season. Here is some information for the next few months:
