News

TRAINING

The Under 15 and 17’s train at Burringbah on the artificial turf on Tuesdays beginning at 6:30pm – get there earlier to warm up on the grass. Balance of the teams train from 6:00 to 7:00 oclock on Thursdays at Dorrington.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES

You are reminded that all new players to the club must supply a copy of the player’s birth certificate ASAP as these have to be forwarded to BJHA along with the registration forms.

Also – remember to complete an enrolment form for Norths – see Rhondda, Sally or Peter for the form.

LEVIES

A turf levy for all teams that play and train on artificial turf (Colmslie and Kedron Wavell/ Burringbah) will be imposed this year. The cost of the levy will be finalised and the players in the teams that play on this surface will be required to pay this levy by the commencement of the games.

PLAYERS

If you know of anyone who wants to play hockey, in particualr in the under 11 and under 17 teams please have them come along to training or have them contact someone asap. To field a team we need more than the bare 11.

Working Bee/ BBQ levy

To be eligible for the refund a member of each family must attend one working bee or one BBQ roster. You will need to sign the roster book to ensure that the treasurer can record the completion of your duties in our records and return the levy to each family.

Norths Website

The website for the club is www.gjames.com.au/norths. Add it to your favourites. The newsletters will be posted on the site each week. Also the club is celebrating it’s 30^th year and there is a lot of history and information contained in the site. Feel free to browse. There are also shortcuts to other hockey sites as well as wet weather details etc.Welcome once again to the 2004 hockey season.

National Coaching Accreditation scheme – level 1.

Easter Junior Skills Development Clinic.
