Graffiti Resistant-

The anodised surface on the aluminium extrusions is non-porous and easily cleaned of graffiti.

Closed Extrusion-

All seat planks used in the Gossi Park Range are closed and capped with extruded aluminium end caps to reduce spider nesting.

Die Cast Frames-

The legs and seat frames used in the majority of the Gossi Park Seats are manufactured from recycled aluminium alloy.

Size-

All products that use our extended aluminium planks can be made up to 6000mm long.

Recycle-

G. James is committed to recycling and has systems in place right throughout the manufacturing process. All scrap aluminium purchased within G. James as well as scrap aluminium purchased from outside sources is processed through the companies two remelt smelters. This facility produces aluminium alloy billets used in the extrusion presses and aluminium alloy ingot used in the company casting facility.
Aluminium castings are produced from 100% recycled material and the extrusion presses use up to 30% recycled material.
The anodising process also has recycling as a priority with bi-products used in the clay and mining industries.
Timber, the Kwila timber used in the manufacturing of the timber and aluminium range of street and park furniture is all plantation grown. A renewable and sustainable source.

Fire Proof Bins-

We use Slam Latches on our bin cabinets and the sturdy hollow wall construction of the cabinet allows the door and latch to operate positively.
The Slam Latch is constructed from mild steel which is fully immersed in the anti-corrosion product "INOX". INOX is a corrosion repellent and has proven to be reliable in seaside locations. We recommend that the latch be resprayed with INOX should a fire occur in the bin. The slam latch can be supplied with square or triangle drive key pins.
Cigarette Butt Out Facility The smokers set used in the enclosure has a butt out facility which allows for the extinguished butt to be dropped through a shute into a separate receptacle to help guard against bin fires.
Graffiti Resistant All Gossi Park bin enclosures are manufactured from anodised aluminium which can be cleaned of graffiti in contrast to our competitors products which are generally a powdercoated finish which fails during the cleaning process. Our anodised finish is to a level measuring 20 Microns which by Australian Standards is marine grade.
Vandal Resistant The hollow wall construction with the internal webs and fins add to the strength of our cabinet. This is further enhanced by the design which frames the base with a mounting plate to bolt it securely to a concrete pad.
Fireproof The cabinet is also fire proof with the bin system being a patented design. In the event of a fire, the anodised panels are not affected in contrast to powdercoat finishes which are destroyed.
Bird/Vermin Resistant The design of all Gossi bin cabinets has the walls extending right to the ground and sealed. The top is covered by a stainless steel lid which is then capped by a full size hood.
Parts and Panels G. James Australia, the parent company of Gossi Park Furniture was established back in 1917 and covers all products with a guarantee against faulty workmanship and materials but not against abuse or misuse as is required in Australia. All parts and replaceable panels are readily available.

Temperature-

Our tests have shown that aluminium has good reflective surface qualities and even in full sun, it maintains lower, more comfortable temperatures than most other commonly used outdoor furniture manufacturing materials.

Over a range of temperatures, the positions of the materials on the temperature scale remained constant.
